NATO build new cyber defense center
NATO build new cyber defense center#### NATO members have agreed to build a new cyber defense facility to help the military alliance become more resilient and responsive to digital threats.

As the alliance celebrated the 75th anniversary of its founding with a July 9–11 summit in Washington, it unveiled plans to build a new NATO Integrated Cyber Defense Center (NICC), which will be based at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Belgium.
“The center will be composed of civilian and military experts from various member nations and will be equipped with advanced technologies to improve situational awareness and strengthen collective cyber resilience and defense,” NATO said.
Details will be finalized in the coming months, with the NICC’s primary role being to inform NATO military commanders of offensive cyber threats and vulnerabilities that could impact the alliance, including private civilian critical infrastructure.
